Emil’s Chronicle - The journal of Emil A Eklund

About me

I’m Emil A Eklund, a young Swede living in Stockholm.

Been working with web development in various forms since 1996 and my other site, WebFX - that I run together with Erik, and that focuses on web development - has been online since 1997.

I’m creating systems for the telecommunication industry for a living, mostly billing systems. For the past few years I’ve works almost exclusively with interconnect billing, which is basically about keeping track of and charging for transit traffic (calls originating from and/or terminated in another carriers network) allowing telecom operators to charge other operators for using their network - thus allowing long distance and international calls.

I’ve also worked quite a lot with roaming; allowing customers to use their cellphones in another operators network, and retail billing; charing customers for their usage.

Travel quite a lot with work and over the past few years I’ve seen a lot of weird places that I would never have thought about going to on my own, which can be quite interesting and teaches one new things about oneself and the world.

Spent most of my time programming and I have a tendency to start a lot of projects only to find my enthusiasm fade away.
The ones I do stick with though I spend a lot of time on, striving for perfection.

I also interested in photography and when I’m not programming you’re likely to find my strolling with a camera or cruising the archipelago in my boat.
