Pakistani Embassy
Just got back from the Pakistani embassy here in Stockholm. Was supposed to apply for a visa and I had all forms ready; application, letter of intent, a formal invitation and a few others. Anyway, as I got there I went stright up the the reception and handed in the pile of forms, a few seconsds later, much to my suprise, the lady behind the counter said something like ‘this application will definitely get rejected’. Not knowing what to respond I just stood there. A moment later she countined ‘…this application is for a pakistani passport, not a visa’.
Now that would explain why the form had all those totally irrelevant questions and declarations, but it also meant that I had to fill out yet another form. Although this time the line of questions where more ordinary, much like what I had expected the first time and similar to what’s usually applicable to a visa application.
It should be ready late next week, leaving a few days for me to go pick it up before it’s time to fly down on the 24th.
Can’t say I’m thrilled about going, but on the other hand I’d probably never considered going there on my own accord so this is my chance to see it. I’m going with a few co-workers, some of whom I’ve traveled with before, which makes quite a difference. - It’ll probably prove to be an interesting experience.
