First Snow
Attended the grand opening of the Stockholm international film festival today. Apparently they celebrated their 15th anniversary this year and our newly appointed minister of culture cut the ribbon. After the speeches the latest Woody Allen picture, ‘Melinda & Melinda’ was shown and I don’t really know what to think about it.
There are quite a few movies showing over the coming days and some of them seems to be fairly interesting, I’ll probably try to catch one or two if I can find the time.
Afterwards there was a fairly big party at Café Opera, however I felt slightly out of place as most, if not all, guests where actors, directors, film critics or journalists. Oh well, it’s not like I expected otherwise, just quite surprised that I was invited at all.
Anyway, when I got out about an hour after midnight it had started to snow (as predicted, amazingly the meteorologist where actually correct this time) and completely transformed the landscape.
Was a typical cold fall day when I went in, and a few hours later everything was white. The ground, the trees, the cars, the buildings, everything was coated in snow and all of a sudden it seamed so much brighter. I guess winter has officially struck.
Just had to snap a picture of the first snow as soon as I got home, not one of my better shoots but it gets the message through.
Traffic will most likely be chaotic tomorrow…

And then a few hours later it started to rain…
