Back in town

ManilaGot back from Manila this Thursday after having stayed about twice as long as originally planed. Didn’t see much of the city, basically just Mandaluyong, where the office was located, and Makati. Stayed at the Edsa Shangri-La, which was pretty nice, and not too far from the office. The city itself reminded me of Bangkok, but the traffic was even worse.

Didn’t really feel like exploring the city with the unrest and political insatiability caused by the alleged manilpulation of last years election. The president, Mrs. Arroyo, was caught speaking to an ellection official while the votes where being counted. Obviosuly she denied it but the call had been recorded. Read more about it.

Everyone kept telling me to get out of the city and see one of the beaches, which are supposedly very good, but there was no time for that this time around. I’ll most likley go back there this fall and I’ll try to find some time for that then.

Right now it just feels good to be home, but typically the excellent weather that Stockholm, and most of Sweden, has seen for the past weeks has come to and end, and now the rain is just pouring down.

Got some, quite booring, photos in my gallery, Manila Photos.
Lost my small camera a while ago and it’s not practical to bring the SLR everywhere.
